The biennale Bassano Fotografia 2019 is one of the main photography events in north-eastern Italy.
The photographic association Marco Polo Fotografia participates with the collective exhibition L’Altra Venezia on display in the 2019 edition of Bassano Fotografia.
My wife and I have both participated in this exhibition. It is open in the medieval tower Torre delle Grazie, from September 15th to November 3rd, every day 10.00-12.30 and 15.30-19.00.
Bassano del Grappa is a city in the Veneto region, in north-east Italy. It is situated at the foothills of the Dolomites.
The city existed in Roman times, and in the Middle Ages it fell first under Vicenza, and later under Venice.
The cathedral dates back to around the year 1000, and there are parts of a medieval fortification, the Upper Castle. Our exhibition in the an ancient tower which formed part of the city walls.
The most famous sight in the city is the Ponte degli Alpini, a bridge designed by Palladio, which spans the river.
